DESCRIPTION: A must-have tool for inspection work, hull scrubbing and pretty much anything in midwater near a mild steel structure! This divers magnet consists of a super-strong Neodymium pot magnet to provide a secure hold, attached to an aluminium handle for easy removal, a grab-handle and two eye-bolts for clipping in tools and lanyards. The handle is made from aluminium while the eye-bolts and jack release screw are stainless steel Handle size - 50mm x 12mm x 330m Pot magnet size - 60mm diameter x 14.5mm thick Each magnet can support 139kg of pull vertically from the magnetic face when in flush contact with a mild steel surface of equal thickness. If more pull strength is required, the aluminium handle is supplied pre-drilled and tapped so another identical pot magnet can be added to give 278kg of pulling force. The pot magnet is coated with three layers of nickel, copper and nickel to reduce corrosion and provide a smooth finish. The super-strong Neodymium pot magnet is strong enough to provide a secure hold but is also easily removed by pulling the aluminium handle. Neodymium pot magnets are made of a powerful Neodymium magnet sunken in to a steel shell meaning that the north pole is on the centre of the magnetic face and the south pole is on the outer edge around it. The steel pot increases the adhesive force of the magnets giving them an incredible hold for their size. An added advantage of pot magnets is that they are resistant to chipping or cracking following constant impact with a steel surface. These magnets come with a safe-handling warning; because they are so powerful they can be dangerous if not handled carefully.
